GO Teams for the Summer of 2018

GO Teams for the Summer of 2018

This summer, our church family will once again seek to GO and serve during our Wednesday evenings.  We will start on June 27 by meeting in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 to pray and prepare.  Then on July 11 we will spend 5 Wednesday evenings, until August 8, going and serving in various ways.

Some of these options are limited to rather specific skill sets, and some are pretty much open to anyone and any age.  If you are not sure, sign up and in the message box, ask for more information about one or more of the options.

Some of the GO Teams:

  1. Back Yard Bible Clubs:
We need some people who would be willing to host and lead a BYBC in their neighborhood.  We will supply the lessons and resources, but we need people to lead, host and recruit some other helpers.
  2. Joyful Ornaments:
The J.O. Ladies will meet to work on Christmas Ornaments to try to have 2,000 ready by August.  If you are a creative type, this may be just the ticket for you.
  3. Yard-work for RC Senior Adults:
These teams will go to the homes of some of our Senior Adults to help with simple yard work and the chance to love on our Senior Adults.
  4. Prayer:
This group will stay at the facility and intercede for those who are out serving, as well as other needs that we are made aware of.
  5. Facility Work:
These folks will work around the facility to help beautify and prepare our facilities so that we can present the best possible facilities to those who come to visit.
  6. Database Work:
We are working to change our church database to another system, which will give much better flexibility for our church staff and our church family.  They will also make some contacts with church members to make sure we have the proper information.
  7. Neighborhood Ministries:
These folks will work within their own neighborhoods to display Christ’s love.  Prayer walking, Delivering Cookies, Meeting Your Neighbors, are just a few ways to intentionally bless your neighborhood.
