New Ministry at Perry Correctional Institution

Here is an exciting new Ministry that is opening up at the Perry Correctional Institution.  It is a One-on-One Christian Mentoring program.  Each inmate is assigned one mentor who has some similar interests and hobbies.  The mentor will be able to meet with the inmate twice a month for about 60-90 minutes, as well as a possibility to participate in any significant life experiences the inmate experiences. Annie Armstrong Easter Offering

Every spring leading up to Easter, Southern Baptist Churches are encouraged to participate in the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) for North American Missions.  This annual offering is named after a woman who was a bold Missions Advocate and the first National Executive leader of the WMU (Women’s Missionary Union).  This offering supplies nearly half of the annual budget for the North American Mission Board (NAMB), and 100% of the funds donated to AAEO go directly to the Mission Field.…

RC Senior Salvation Bracelet Success

Today, February 20, a large group of our RC Seniors gathered in the Fellowship Hall to put together Salvation Bracelets that our team will carry to Brazil in June.  As usual, when our Seniors get together, there is a lot of fun and fellowship, but they worked hard as well.  2,000 salvation bracelets were made by the 80 people who showed up to work.  The hotdog lunch afterwards was a lot of fun as well.
