The Multigenerational Church

The Multigenerational Church (Titus 2:1-8) – Churches are prone to segregate groups by ages.  The biblical example is quite different by modeling multigenerational relationships. The best protection against false doctrine is through teaching sound doctrine. Right belief leads to right behavior.  (Orthodoxy leads to orthopraxy.) God’s plan for growing biblical churches is by discipling one another through multigenerational relationships. An older man should be (Titus 2:2): Sober-minded – A sober-minded man is one who can make wise decisions with complete clarity of mind. All Talk

All Talk (Titus 1:10-16) – Many can profess doctrinal clarity but few can practice ethical purity.  As believers, we cannot be all talk in our commitment. The most foundational element of election is being in awe that God would actually desire any of us. Faith leads to knowledge.  Knowledge leads to godliness.  Godliness leads to hope.…

Practical Heretic

Practical Heretic [Jonah 4] – It is worthless to agree with a theology that we cannot embrace.  We must fight against the tendency to withhold from others the same grace that benefited us. Main Points A practical heretic is someone who mentally affirms correct theology yet practically denies it. Don’t refuse to give the grace that you have been given. You will experience great peace when you remove yourself from the center of your universe. Jonah’s problem with the conclusion of this…
