This week we will read through the book of Ephesians. Paul writes this epistle to the church and gives believers doctrinal and practical insights into the christian faith. Chapters 1-3 talk about the position of the christian, and chapters 4-6 talk about the practices of the christian. Gain a proper understanding of who you are “in Christ” and then live in the reality of this truth. Remind yourself that being a christian means being called to the battle ground, not the playground. On Saturday and Sunday, we’ll focus on the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups and the Sunday sermon. Please consider the questions below regarding the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups.
- Sunday, May 6 – Mark 1:9-13
- Monday, May 7 – Ephesians 1:1-23
- Tuesday, May 8 – Ephesians 2:1-22
- Wednesday, May 9 – Ephesians 3:1-21
- Thursday, May 10 – Ephesians 4:1-32
- Friday, May 11 – Ephesians 5:1-6:24
- Saturday, May 12 – Ephesians 6:10-20
What does Ephesians 6:10 tell us to be?
What are we to put on? Why?
Who are we in a battle with? Who do we wrestle with?
What are the pieces of our spiritual armor?
How are we to put on the armor?
When are we to wear this armor?
What should we pray for?
- Sunday, May 13 – Mark 1:14-20
We will make posts on our website and app on Sunday mornings that outline the Bible reading plan for the rest of the week. Or you can view the entire Bible Reading Plan (April – May 2018).
