Bible Reading Plan for Week of November 18

Bible Reading Plan for Week of November 18

This week we will finish up the book of Leviticus and start the books of Numbers.   Before going into the Promised Land the Israelites took stock of their military.  The names and numbers may not be the most exciting thing to read in Scripture, but “it helps to remember that these were real people who were about to do something very bold and very important – take over the land God promised them.”  The book also contains key rules and laws that the Israelites were to follow.  On Saturday and Sunday, we’ll focus on the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups and the Sunday sermon.  Please consider the questions below regarding the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups.

  • Sunday, November 18 – Mark 9:14-29
  • Monday, November 19  – Leviticus 24-25
  • Tuesday, November 20 – Leviticus 26-27
  • Wednesday, November 21 – Numbers 1-2
  • Thursday, November 22 – Numbers 3-4
  • Friday, November 23 – Numbers 5-6
  • Saturday, November 24 – Genesis 32, 35

Does God desire a one-time encounter with us, or does He desire to shape us by a process?

Who is the man referenced in Genesis 32:24-42 and what happens between him and Jacob?

What is accomplished through this “wrestling match”?

How has God humbled you through circumstances to force you to rely more on Him?

Do you have any marks or milestones that remind you of God’s grace?

What have you learned from any “wrestling matches” with God?

What does God say He will do Genesis 35:9-15?

How can these passages about Jacob parallel the lives of believers?

How can you help others find their identity in Christ?

  • Sunday, November 25 – Mark 9:30-41

We will make posts on our website and app on Sunday mornings that outline the Bible reading plan for the rest of the week.  Or you can view the entire Bible Reading Plan (Sept – Nov 2018)
