Bible Reading Plan for Week of December 9

We are finishing up the book of Numbers this week and we’ll move into the book of Deuteronomy.  Deuteronomy restates and reinforces the law that God has already given.  Repetition is a good thing.  Deuteronomy is an “expansion of much of the original law given on Mount Sinai” so pay attention and don’t miss what God is communicating.  On Saturday and Sunday, we’ll focus on the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups and the Sunday sermon.  Please consider the questions below regarding the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups.

  • Sunday, December 9 – Mark 10:1-12
  • Monday, December 10  – Numbers 31-32
  • Tuesday, December11 – Numbers 33-34
  • Wednesday, December 12 – Numbers 35-36
  • Thursday, December 13 – Deuteronomy 1-2
  • Friday, December 14 – Deuteronomy 3-4
  • Saturday, December 15 – Genesis 42, 45, 50

Compare and Contrast Genesis 42 with Genesis 37.

What do we learn about God from his allowing the brothers to visit Egypt?

How do you see God’s grace in Genesis 45:4-8?

Do you show forgiveness when wronged, or are you prone to hold a grudge?

Why are the brothers afraid after Jacob dies?

What is Joseph’s perspective on what happened?

How should God bringing good from evil affect how we share the gospel with others?

  • Sunday, December 16 – Mark 10:13-16

We will make posts on our website and app on Sunday mornings that outline the Bible reading plan for the rest of the week.  Or you can view the entire Bible Reading Plan (Dec 2018 – Feb 2019)
