We’ll keep reading through Psalms, 2 Samuel, and 1 Chronicles this week.    On Saturday we’ll focus on the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups.  Please consider the questions below regarding the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups.  For each Sunday in May we’ll look at Scriptures that revolve around our new sermon series on membership.

  • Sunday, April 28 – Mark 16:9-20
  • Monday, April 29  – 2 Samuel 11-12; 1 Chronicles 20
  • Tuesday, April 30 – Psalms 32, 51
  • Wednesday, May 1 – Psalms 86, 122
  • Thursday, May 2 – 2 Samuel 13-15
  • Friday, May 3 – Psalms 3-4
  • Saturday, May 4 – Judges 4-5

What do you learn about Deborah in Judges 4:4-7?

What are the consequences for Barak’s actions? (4:7-10)

What are the results of the battle? (4:17-24)

Has God gifted you for some assignment, yet you are reluctant to follow?

Is there someone you can encourage by pointing them to the power and promises of God?

What problem are you facing that you need God’s help?

How has faith in God, specifically in Jesus, helped you to face with confidence your fears and fights?

What is the response of Deborah and Barak to the events of the day? (5:1-5, 9-11)

What is significant about 5:2?

  • Sunday, May 5 – Acts 2:42-47
