Bible Reading Plan for Week of May 19

Bible Reading Plan for Week of May 19

God is teaching us so much about His love, compassion, faithfulness, and goodness as we track the history of the Israelites.  Psalms have helped us worship the Lord and given us a glimpse into some of the emotions David (and others) felt.  Stay the course and continue to be disciplined to spend time with the Lord each day.  On Saturday and Sunday, we’ll focus on the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups and the Sunday sermon.  Please consider the questions below regarding the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups

  • Sunday, May 19 – Hebrews 10:19-25
  • Monday, May 20  – 2 Samuel 24; Psalm 30
  • Tuesday, May 21 – 1 Chronicles 21-22
  • Wednesday, May 22 – Psalms 108-110
  • Thursday, May 23 – 1 Chronicles 23-25
  • Friday, May 24 – Psalms 131, 138-139
  • Saturday, May 25 – Ruth 1-4

Why does Naomi tell Ruth and Orpah that they can remain in Moab?

How do Ruth and Orpah respond to Naomi?

What characteristics of God do you see in Ruth’s actions?

When Ruth decided to show love, do you think she had any idea the impact it would have?

How does Ruth want to show compassion to Naomi?

How is God working in these events?

How has God been gracious to you?

How have you treated others with grace recently?

Compare and Contrast Ruth 4:13-17 with chapter one.

Who is Obed and therefore who does that make Ruth?

How will you show steadfast, gracious, redeeming love this week?

  • Sunday, May 26 – 1 Corinthians 12:12-31

We will make posts on our website and app on Sunday mornings that outline the Bible reading plan for the rest of the week.  Or you can view the entire Bible Reading Plan (March 2019 – May 2019)
