Bible Reading Plan for Week of May 26

Bible Reading Plan for Week of May 26

This week we will finish reading through 1 Chronicles and also continue looking at some Psalms.  Has God put something in your heart to do?  How will you honor the Lord with your time, gifts, and abilities?  As you read allow God to transform your desires into His desires.  On Saturday and Sunday, we’ll focus on the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups and the Sunday sermon.  Please consider the questions below regarding the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups

  • Sunday, May 26 – 1 Corinthians 12:12-31
  • Monday, May 27  – Psalms 143-145
  • Tuesday, May 28 – 1 Chronicles 26-27
  • Wednesday, May 29 – 1 Chronicles 28-29; Psalm 127
  • Thursday, May 30 – Psalms 111-113
  • Friday, May 31 – Psalms 114-116
  • Saturday, June 1 – 1 Samuel 1-3

Have you ever felt like things were out of control? How were you comforted?

What does 1 Samuel 1:20 teach us about prayer?

How have you seen God answer prayer?

After the child is weaned, what does Hannah do (1 Samuel 1:24-28)?

How do you see the gifts that God gives you?

What is Hannah’s attitude toward her son?

What do you learn about the character of God in 1 Samuel 2:1-2, 6-8?

Does God’s sovereignty help you have a proper focus in your situation?

What happens after God shares with Samuel during the night?

Do we have an important message to share? How are you sharing the Gospel?

How does Samuel mature in faith after meeting with God?

How does Samuel compare to Jesus as a prophet?

Who is someone you can encourage this week?

  • Sunday, June 2 – 1 Corinthians 5:9-13
