Bible Reading Plan for Week of June 2

Bible Reading Plan for Week of June 2

On Thursday this week we’ll read a Psalm about the Bible.  It describes the treasure of the Bible and how we should treasure it as well.  Ask God to teach you great truths as you read His Word this week.  On Saturday and Sunday, we’ll focus on the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups and the Sunday sermon.  Please consider the questions below regarding the Scriptures for our Gospel Groups

  • Sunday, June 2 – 1 Corinthians 5:9-13
  • Monday, June 3  – Psalms 117-118
  • Tuesday, June 4 – 1 Kings 1-2
  • Wednesday, June 5 – Psalms 37, 71, 94
  • Thursday, June 6 – Psalm 119
  • Friday, June 7 – 1 Kings 3-4
  • Saturday, June 8 – 1 Samuel 4-6

How do the Israelites respond to defeat by the Philistines?

What do you substitute for knowing God’s actual presence and power?

What’s the reaction to the ark of the covenant being brought to the battlefield?

What’s the outcome of the battle?  Why?

What does chapter 5 teach us about God?

How do people of Beth-shemesh respond to the return of the ark?

What should our worship look like (Romans 12:1-2)?

Why are men struck down by the Lord?

How would you answer what the people of Beth-shemesh say, “Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God?”

What step of faith do you need to take because God is holy and full of grace?

  • Sunday, June 9 – Psalm 39

We will make posts on our website and app on Sunday mornings that outline the Bible reading plan for the rest of the week.  Or you can view the entire Bible Reading Plan (June – August 2019)
