Has there ever been moments in your life when you have grown impatient with God? Maybe you are experiencing that right now, due to Covid19? Or, maybe there was a time in your life when you were seeking God for answers, of course patiently waiting, and you felt that God was not listening? Because of that, you chose to move ahead of God instead of wait for His timing.
The truth is, God listens and He answers, not necessarily in our time frame, but He is there for us to cast our cares and anxieties on Him ( 1 Peter 5:7). Another thing that is for sure, moving ahead of God because of impatience will mess things up. When that happens, we are tempted to blame God and rely on our understanding instead of His ( Proverbs 3:5-6).
When we try to handle things on our own, without God’s divine wisdom and help, we make an awful mess out of things. We choose to meddle in the things that we have asked God to handle, however, our impatience gets the better of us. The question is, “What is it that keeps you from surrendering those issues to God? What might happen if you trusted God with them?”
In conclusion, why do we get impatient with God? Why is it so hard to just trust Him with small things? Many Bible-believing Christians trust God through Christ for salvation, but we do not trust him with the our every day “to-do” list. We must be conscious of these things and really make an effort to trust Him. What steps will you take to show patience in waiting for God to handle your problems?
It is important to remember, trusting God with our problems is a lot better than trying to fix them ourselves. Let us all work on our patience with God.
