College-Young Adult Gospel Group Starting

This coming Sunday, November 10, 2019, we will be starting a new Gospel Group for college age young adults at 10:30AM at Rocky Creek.  The Gospel Group will meet in room 333 each Sunday, beginning this week. Understanding the Book of Zephaniah

Today, for the Rocky Creek Bible Reading Plan (Sept – Nov 2019) we will be reading the book of Zephaniah.  The author announces to Judah God’s approaching judgment.  “Zephaniah’s main theme is the coming of the day of the Lord, when God will severely punish the nations, including apostate. Upward Basketball and Cheerleading 2019-2020

The 16th season of Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is quickly approaching and registration runs now until December 7, 2019.  This Basketball and Cheerleading League is for boys and girls in grades K5-6th.  The cost to participate is $75 which includes uniforms, year end prize, practices and games. During Upward children will learn the fundamentals of basketball and cheerleading.  They will also be learning Scripture and character qualities each week.  We want to equip children to be successful on the court and off the court. …

Understanding the Book of Nahum

Today, for the Rocky Creek Bible Reading Plan (Sept – Nov 2019) we will be in the book of Nahum.  This book describes the downfall of Nineveh, the capital of Assyria.  After a time of repentance Nineveh’s destruction was temporarily averted (see book of Jonah).  However, they return to their evil ways and God brings about their downfall, which would bring comfort to Judah.  Their downfall serves as an example for other nations as well.  God is sovereign and the…
