Prepared For Battle

by Shawn Piedrahita (NGU Student) In Ephesians 6, Paul implores the Ephesian Christians to “put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil” (6:11). Though spoken to the Ephesian church, Paul’s wisdom still applies to modern-day Christian as a call to arms against “the spiritual forces of evil” (6:12). The Belt of Truth: In John 14:6, Jesus states “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to…

Walking In The Spirit

A Post By Emily Phillips, NGU Student. What does it mean to walk by the Spirit? In Galatians 5, Paul talks about what it means to keep in step with the Spirit. Paul tells us how to live by the Spirit: reject the desires of the flesh and practice the fruits of the Spirit. Multiply Churches

The Multiply Initiative is our simple yet aggressive plan to multiply disciples.  As we make disciples within our own church, our prayer is that we will see growth in our church and in the churches we plant or replant. PD 15 – Multiply Churches Multiplication Values We believe a church multiplication model is a process that shows these important values: Biblical Faithfulness – The Great Commission expects us not to work to see how many attendees we have gathered but…

Miracles and Missions Family Mission Trip Recap

April Parenting Principle #4

Principle: Recognizing what you are unable to do is essential to good parenting. Many parents have been there before. Your child is acting up in the grocery store, and you feel the embarrassment of blood rush to your face. In an act of discipline and punishment, you either grab or yell at your child, probably not softly but maybe even harsh and angry. You retreat to thoughts of punishment, better discipline, and better parenting because we have to help them…

The radical witness when congregations…. sing! Psalm 66:2 Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious. Glorious worship is exuberant, never half-hearted. It is attractive, not off-putting.
