Phase 4 Update

Phase 4 Update from Rocky Creek on Vimeo. Since the church voted to proceed with Phase 4, your willingness to pray, help, and give to the project has been outstanding. The attitude displayed among our people reminds me of how good and pleasant it is when God’s people unite around God’s work together (Ps. 133:1). After receiving the final quotes, we are $100,000 away from funding the entire project. Thanks to your Phase 4 team’s hard work, we have an…

Phase 4 Plans [Fall 2020 Strategy]

The current climate in 2020 has removed the possibility of things getting back to normal. Through numerous trials, the world has changed, but that doesn’t have to be a negative reality. As believers, we must commit to offering hope now more than ever before. We cannot retreat into a spiritual quarantine, but we must position ourselves to be available as the world needs the gospel ever so desperately. In order to do that, we must face reality about the state…

Daniel [Series Overview]

In 2019, when I prayed about the direction for our church’s sermon series in 2020, I was convinced of a few directions, but I never could have imagined the level to which we would need to be reminded of these biblical truths. Financial Proverbs – We started the year discussing the need to be prepared financially for a person or public rainy day, and then the economic crisis hit. Philippians – We moved to learn how Paul could find joy…

Partnership with Cedar Grove in Fountain Inn

In the midst of the uncertainty that is 2020, one thing we are certain of – God is still working. And if He is still working, that means that His church should still be working! That’s why we are excited to share with you about Rocky Creek’s partnership with Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Fountain Inn. We shared the info during worship a few weeks ago, but we are excited to share about the official relaunch of Cedar Grove this…

New Classes Beginning August 19

On Wednesday, August 19 at 6:30PM, we begin offering a couple of new classes on-campus at Rocky Creek. In the chapel, Michael Whitman will be leading a study about the Tabernacle and the Temple. Together, we will compare and contrast the Tabernacle and the Temple and see the pictures of Christ in both of them. Bring a Bible, paper, and a pencil. This is an open study, so if you can’t make it the first week, join us when you…

Phase 4 Response

Thank you so much for your overwhelming support of Phase 4. Through the vote, the church has spoken clearly to go forward in this direction. I am so thankful for the amount of positive and optimistic feedback I received since we first unveiled the plans. Not only did you bring support, but you also brought continued motivation to go forward in this endeavor! The commissioned Building Team gathered today to put together a plan, and I am so thankful for…

Proposal for Phase 4 [Waypoint July 2020]

Since we all cannot gather for Waypoint during this time of social distancing, we are providing this digital presentation to celebrate what God has been doing in our church and to share some plans going forward. There are two videos below. The first video is the full 36-minute presentation that gives key updates and specific plans regarding the proposal for Phase 4. The second video is the 5-minute summarized proposal for Phase 4 that we showed in our worship services.…

There will…

Psalms [Vol. 2] – Series Overview

I cannot wait to begin our summer series on June 7th – Psalms [Vol. 2]. Here is the rundown of the series. Reasoning The psalms teach us how to speak to God. We all need help learning how to do that better. Psalms cover every range of human emotions. During these days, we have a lot of emotions we need to process. This huge section of Scripture is often overlooked in preaching and teaching. Since each psalm is essentially independent of the others, it is…

Regathering Plans

Starting Sunday, May 17th, Rocky Creek will begin regathering in worship. We will have six smaller worship gatherings on campus that only fill 20% capacity of our worship spaces as an intermediate step. With this change, we are moving into Phase 2. Here is the summary of our plans: DOWNLOAD – Regathering Plans In order to ensure our gatherings maintain a wise attendance capacity, we are assigning Gospel Groups to certain worship hours. If you are in a Gospel Group,…
