RC Kids: Secret Mission Projects

Get outside the church doors with other children’s ministry families on March 15, 2020, to make a difference in the lives of others in our community. Your family will come to the church at 4:00 PM and will receive a secret package with an address and instructions complete with all the resources you will need to complete your projects. Your family, along with other families, will open your package and engage in your mission. After completing the mission assignments, you will meet the other families at Fuddruckers on Woodruff Road to debrief and share about your experiences.

5th Graders to the Soup Kitchen

Our Rocky Creek Baptist Church 5th graders, along with their parents, are invited to help feed the homeless on May 3 as part of our mission’s education program. Our children participate in Music and Missions throughout the school year and are often involved in local mission projects. Our 5th graders eventually graduate to being on the field doing missions at the Project Host Soup Kitchen as they serve alongside their parents in the spring. Participants will meet at Project Host at 9:00 AM and will finish their work by no later than 1:00 PM.

VBS 2020 Setup

Don’t wait until the last minute to get your building plans together for your “Concrete and Cranes” VBS rooms. You can set aside the week of June 7-13 to bring your ladders, hammers, measuring tapes, and supplies to construct your teaching areas. If you decorate during the week, you will need to park near the church office and enter through the church office. Wednesday evening, June 10, will be the big set up the night with all the teams on board to help you get things together. The gym entrance and the preschool entrances will be open on Wednesday evening if you have supplies to bring in to the building. Draw your blueprints and get ready to start on your big construction projects in your rooms.

RC Kid’s Christmas Around the World

Join Rocky Creek Kid’s Families on December 6 at 4:00PM for Christmas Around the World, as our children present their mission projects about the countries they have chosen to study. We will pray for our current missionaries and ask the Lord to call future missionaries to serve in the countries the children studied. Children will also be encouraged to participate in a mission poster display that will be featured in the children’s hallway during December. Families will take a Lottie Moon Christmas Offering Envelope from the Christmas tree and begin making plans to give to the offering during the Christmas season.
