Understanding the Book of Hebrews

Over the next few days we will read through the book of Hebrews.  Jesus is greater and better than…  Jewish converts familiar with the Old Testament are encouraged not to “revert to Judaism or to Judaize the gospel.”  This video from the Bible Project will help you better understand the book.  Allow the “living and active” word to change you.

Understanding the Book of James

Today and tomorrow we will be reading through the book of James.  Here are few other Scriptures to help you understand who James is Mark 6:1-6 1 Corinthians 15:1-11 Acts 15:1-21 (particularly 15:6, 13) Exodus 21:1-6 Acts 7:54-8:1; 11:19; 12:1-5 Also, this video will give you insights into this practical book.  As you read, see what truth you can put into practice.  Be “doers of the word, and not hearers only.” (James 1:22)  

Understanding the Book of Acts (Ch 1-12)

We start reading in the book of Acts today, and this book describes how God worked in the early church.  Believers were empowered by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the good news of Jesus to accomplish the will of the Father.  There are many lessons that the current church can learn from reading this book.  Ask God to empower you to proclaim truth and accomplish His will.  

Understanding the Book of Matthew (part 2)
